Bob Allen Ford of Overland Park, Kansas opened for business in September 1986, when longtime friends and business partners, Bob Hewlett and Allen Wiegers had an opportunity to buy their second Ford dealership in the Kansas City Metro area. 
 
   Bob and Allen had worked together for 17 years north of the river and purchased their first Ford dealership in 1978. Metro Ford is located in Independence, MO. City Rent A Truck, a leasing and rental company, located east of the Plaza is another business venture that Bob and Allen started together.
  
   Bob Hewlett’s famous quote, “All Fords are created equal, it’s the dealer that makes the difference,” remains the vision of the dealership as the second generation has taken the lead.
 
                                                              
 
   Allen Wiegers’ son, John Wiegers became a partner in January of 1996 when Allen retired from Bob Allen Ford. John graduated from the University of Kansas with a BS in Business and continued his education and earned his MBA. John started working for his dad in 1985. Now, as one of the 3 dealer Principals of Bob Allen Ford, John is excited to see the dealership grow and evolve as the auto business continues to change with the development of the internet and new technology. Allen Wiegers passed away in 2005, but his vision and dreams for the dealership live on through his son, John and the rest of the Bob Allen Ford family. As we continue to be a service oriented Ford dealership, we honor his memory.
 
   Bob Hewlett’s son, Brad Hewlett, became a partner of Bob Allen Ford in August 2002. Brad played baseball for Maple Wood Community college and now enjoys watching his 3 sons play. Brad started working at the dealership when he was 13 years old, washing cars for his dad. He has been selling Ford’s since 1994 and loves the dynamic innovation of the Ford product.  Brad’s passion lies within our sales department and our staff. He believes, “our people make the difference,” and he continues to lead the Bob Allen Ford Team into the future with his drive and shared vision of his business partners. You can find Brad on our showroom floor Monday through Saturday meeting new customers and catching up with old friends.
